Recently my temperature sensor burned out, so I bought this thermostat as a precautionary measure. I have the V6 in my Sonoma and this fit directly in with a different gasket. The old one kept reading 160, so my gas mileage sucked. For the life of me I can not find a replacement one that is an exact replacement. They keep giving me these 2 pin coolant temp sensors.

04/01/2009· Change the stat and go back with an OE type unit which will be 186 degrees. You will likely see an improvement in your MPG as well. The truck should be running 192 to 200 or so and anything less than this is going to have a negative affect on your MPG. Link to comment.
