22/1/2020· When dust shows up after doing the test, the dust is either in the lens or on the sensor. Blurry dark spots are a sign of dust either in the sensor or lens. Larger spots would normally mean the dust is in the lens while smaller ones are dust accumulating on the sensor. Sharp prominent spots can also be seen and are usually dust on the sensor.

1/12/2021· Don’t worry! I have 3 quick tricks that can help you get out of a bind. Find where the dust is on the sensor. If you have a really big piece of dust, look at your sensor and carefully (like, very carefully) inspect where that dust is.
1/12/2021· Hold your camera upside down so that dust and other stuff falls out. You’ll want to blow air in multiple directions to make sure anything loose will fall out. Be careful not to hold the front nozzle too close to your sensor. Use sensor swabs and gently pass a swab over your sensor. Make sure you are in a clean room.

In most cases, if you try to screw the sensor into it, you can only screw it to a certain degree and you cannot push it forward. There is usually a decorative wall light at the bottom of the fixture. It should be unscrewed to reveal the nut.
Those out of focus black dots in the background of your photos are dust spots. They’re artefacts on your camera’s sensor, or less commonly on the lens, which are picked up in the photo itself. They’re seriously irritating, and even when you think you’ve got rid of them all during editing, you could well find more later.

Turn off the camera, attach the lens and take images to see if any dust spots are recorded in the image. If the above method does not work, you will need to wet clean the sensor which is the most challenging yet effective method to clean the sensor.
